**TIMMINS POLICE SERVICE NEWS RELEASE**


The Timmins Police Service has arrested a number of persons stemming from separate incidents involving persons allegedly wanted on the strength of arrest warrants.
During the early afternoon hours of Friday, July 19th and while completing patrols of the downtown core of Timmins, a Timmins Police Service officer observed and recognized a female person known to the police as being wanted on the strength of an arrest warrant.

Once the warrant was confirmed, the suspect was arrested by the Timmins Police Service.
As a result of this incident, Taniesha NAKOGEE, 19, of Timmins, was taken into custody.
She remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for this morning at Provincial Court in Timmins to answer to the original charges laid against her.

In a separate incident during the evening hours of Friday, July 19th while completing patrols of the downtown core, a Timmins Police Service officer located and recognized a female person, known to the police as being wanted on the strength of an arrest warrant.
Once the warrant was confirmed, the suspect was arrested by the Timmins Police Service.
As a result of this incident, Crystal POONAE, 31, of Timmins, was taken into custody.
She was found to be in possession of alleged stolen goods and has been charged with:
– 2 count of Theft Under $5000 contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
– 2 count of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
She remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for this morning at Provincial Court in Timmins to answer to the original charge laid against her.

During the morning hours of Saturday, July 20th and while completing general crime abatement patrols of the downtown core of Timmins, a Timmins Police Service officer
located and recognized a female person known to the police as being wanted in regards to an existing arrest warrant.
Once the warrant was confirmed, Jena SEARS, 29, of Timmins, was taken into custody.
She remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for this morning at Provincial Court in Timmins to answer to the assault charge laid against her.

In a separate incident during the afternoon hours of Saturday July 20th, a Timmins Police service officer was completing patrols of the downtown core and located a person wanted on the strength of an arrest warrant.
Once the validity of the warrant was confirmed, Amanda SUTHERLAND, 35, of Timmins, was taken into custody and has been charged with an additional count of :
– Fail to Appear contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
She remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for this morning at Provincial Court in Timmins to answer to the charges laid against her.

During the early evening hours of Saturday, July 20th and while completing patrols of the downtown core of Timmins, a Timmins Police Service officer observed and recognized a male person known to the police as being wanted on the strength of an arrest warrant.
Once the warrant was confirmed, the suspect was arrested by the Timmins Police Service.
As a result of this incident, Gilbert LIZOTTE, 47, of Timmins, was taken into custody.
An additional charge of Fail to Appear contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada has been laid against him stemming from an unrelated matter.
He remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for this morning at Provincial Court in Timmins to answer to the original charges laid against him.

In a separate incident during the afternoon hours of Sunday, July 21st while completing patrols of the downtown core, a Timmins Police Service officer located and recognized a male person, known to the police as being wanted on the strength of an arrest warrant.
Once the warrant was confirmed, the suspect was arrested by the Timmins Police Service.
As a result of this incident, Conrad GRAY, 25, of Timmins, was taken into custody.
He has been charged with and additional count of :
– Fail to Appear contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
He remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for this morning at Provincial Court in Timmins to answer to the original charge laid against him.

During the afternoon hours of Sunday, July 21st and while completing general crime abatement patrols of the downtown core of Timmins, a Timmins Police Service officer located and recognized a female person known to the police as being wanted in regards to an existing arrest warrant.
Once the warrant was confirmed, Samantha NOAH, 24, of Timmins, was taken into custody.
She remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for this morning at Provincial Court in Timmins to answer to the assault charge laid against her.

In a separate incident during the afternoon hours of Sunday July 21st, a Timmins Police Service officer was completing patrols of the downtown core and located a person wanted on the strength of an arrest warrant.
Once the validity of the warrant was confirmed, Keisha JOB, 23, of Timmins, was taken into custody and has been charged with an additional count of :
– Fail to Appear contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
She remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for this morning at Provincial Court in Timmins to answer to the charges laid against her.
