**TIMMINS POLICE SERVICE NEWS RELEASE**


The Timmins Police Service has charged a local man with a number of Criminal Code offences stemming from a theft occurrence at a South Porcupine construction company warehouse occurred recently.

The Timmins Police Service completed a thorough investigation into the incident where the suspect is alleged to have damaged a water pump assembly by removing cable wires from the unit resulting in nearly $8000 in damage.

The investigation culminated in the suspect being identified, located and arrested by the Timmins Police Service.
As a result of the incident, Michael MCCREIGHT, 49, of South Porcupine, has been charged with:
– Break and Enter contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
– Mischief Over $5000 contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
– Breach of Recognizance contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
– Trafficking in Property Obtained by Crime contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
– Drive Under Suspension contrary to the Highway Traffic Act

The accused remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for this morning at Provincial Court in Timmins in order to answer to the charges laid against him.
