The Timmins Police Service provided a community policing presentation to a group of international students at the Timmins Campus of the Universite de Hearst (Timmins Campus) today..
Constable Rick Lemieux provided a bilingual informative presentation based on the data contained in the Timmins Police 2018 Annual Report.
The students benefited from the significant statistical and empirical data contained in the report along with a few personal anecdotes of policing based on Const. Lemieux experiences in law enforcement.
The presentation was information based but also allowed for the students to engage the officer with a vibrant Q and A session that served to de-mystify the purpose and function of the various sections that make up the Timmins Police Service as a modern policing agency in Northern Ontario.
