**TIMMINS POLICE SERVICE NEWS RELEASE**


The Timmins Police Service arrested a local person on the strength of arrest warrant stemming from an early hour disturbance this morning. A disturbance is alleged to have occurred at a Sixth Avenue address early this morning where a subject is alleged to have been found trying to gain access to the residence.
Responding Timmins Police Service officers recognized the subject involved as being a person who is allegedly wanted on the strength of an Arrest Warrant issued by the Provincial Court in Timmins.

The person was detained by the officers in order to confirm the validity of the warrant.
It was further learning that the subject was found to be in breach of curfew conditions regarding separate Recognizances issued to him at separate bail hearings at the Provincial Court in Timmins.
Once the warrant was confirmed, Scott MORRIS, 46, of Timmins, Ontario, was taken into police custody and held for a bail hearing slated for this morning at Provincial Court in Timmins to answer to the original charges laid against the person. He was further charged with:
– 4 counts of Breach of Recognizance contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
– a single count of Breach of Probation Order contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
