**TIMMINS POLICE SERVICE NEWS RELEASE**


The Timmins Police Service has charged a local man with theft related offences stemming from an incident that occurred during the early afternoon hours of Saturday October 12th at a local grocery store in Timmins.
Responding Timmins Police Service officers attended the scene of the incident of theft of merchandise that had been observed by an in-house loss prevention officer who had made relevant observations of the occurrence.

The suspect was arrested and taken into custody by the Timmins Police Service.
As a result of the incident, Graeme ALCORN, 32, of Timmins, Ontario, has been charged with:
– Theft Under $5000 contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
– Possession of Property Obtained by Crime contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
The accused was held in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for this morning at Provincial Court in Timmins to answer to the charges laid against him.
