**TIMMINS POLICE SERVICE NEWS RELEASE**


The Timmins Police Service is continuing with its investigation into a fatal motor vehicle collision that occurred at approximately 11:35 a.m. yesterday morning on a stretch of Hwy 101 located just east of the Bruce Avenue interchange in South Porcupine.

The driver of a passenger vehicle involved in the collision, Nick Joseph ORESKOVICH, 82 of Timmins succumbed to his injuries yesterday afternoon.

Next-of-kin notifications have been completed by the Timmins Police Service.
The driver of a pickup truck and his passenger were uninjured.
Both vehicles are being subjected to further investigative scrutiny by the Timmins Police Service as a normal part of investigations of this nature.


In furtherance of the investigation and in order to complete technical investigative measures, the scene of the collision will be closed to traffic at 11:00 a.m.by the Timmins Police Service Traffic Section officers.
Alternate routes for through traffic will consist of taking the Bruce Avenue into South Porcupine in order to continue traveling east while westbound traffic will be taking Legion Drive in order to reach Bruce Avenue taking them to Hwy 101.
