**TIMMINS POLICE SERVICE NEWS RELEASE**

The annual Cram-A-Cruiser event will be held on Saturday, December 14th, 2019, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the hopes that it can match previous year’s success.

The Timmins Police Service will enlisted the assistance of its Auxiliary Unit along with the OPP and its Auxiliary officers. The teams of TPS and OPP Auxiliary officers and volunteers will be setting up at area grocery stores throughout the city.

Last year, they collected 6,100 pounds of food and raised $3,233.35 in cash for the following area food banks: the Timmins Food Bank, Project Love, First Baptist Church and the South Porcupine Food Bank who were the recipients of the food and cash.

This Cram a Cruiser Food Drive campaign is focused on the wellbeing of those less fortunate and to reduce food anxiety in our area during the holidays.
If you are out on Saturday, please make a trip in where these teams are set up to show your community spirit and continued support
