With all of the snow we have had in the last few week’s, we have seen the Ski hill have one of its earliest opening’s. Now the snowmobile trails could be next.

“It all depends on snow conditions, but also the cold weather so that things freeze up. Right now we have people who have been named to go where there is still water under the snow so they can pack the area’s. Following that, once it’s determined that the bigger machines can cross those area’s, then we can start opening and grooming those area’s.” -Raymond Corbeil Timmins Snowmobile Club President

Corbeil went on to add that this would be considered an early opening, because they normally open the trails right before Christmas.
