**THE CHAMBER NEWS RELEASE**

Shine up that paddle and stitch together your finest submissions, the Chamber is seeking business’ brightest group leaders and camp counsellors as nominations are now open for the 2020 Nova Business Excellence Awards.

To be held at the McIntyre Arena on Thursday, May 7, the Nova Awards are the region’s largest celebration of entrepreneurial achievement, and help to recognize the best of Timmins business across 15 categories. This year’s event will feature the theme of “Camp Nova – the Nature of Business” to help showcase all the many ways that Timmins’ entrepreneurs are some of the best adventurers, more versatile than any of your finest utility knives,” according to Chamber President Val Venneri.

“Many of Timmins’ business leaders are survival experts, navigating the rocky and wild terrain, earning more than just a few skill badges of respect. This evening is a fantastic way to recognize their commitment, creativity, capabilities, and achievements in their fields,” said Venneri.

“Each year, the Nova Awards encourages our business leaders to get out and explore, share in a campfire song or spider dog, and connect with each other, so if you know a happy camper worthy of recognition, be sure to nominate them.
