**PORCUPINE HEALTH UNIT**

There have been no new positive cases in the Porcupine Health Unit (PHU) area in the last 9 days. The total number of confirmed positive cases is 65, 4 of which remain active.

We need everyone’s help to keep this trend going. Continue to stay home as much as possible, send only one member per family to run errands when possible, wash hands frequently and maintain a physical distance of 2 metres when you are out. If you are not well, stay home.

Yesterday, the Ontario government announced that it will be keeping schools closed for the rest of the school year. It also extended all emergency orders currently in force until May 29, 2020, affecting bars and restaurants, and social gatherings of more than five people.

The Ontario Government has developed an online workplace PPE supplier directory.

Anyone with symptoms, even if they are mild, should call their health care provider or the health unit for a referral to an Assessment Centre. Our COVID-19 Information line is open today from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Call the toll-free number, 1-800-461-1818, or the PHU office in your community. See our offices page for local contact numbers.

Maintain a positive sense of wellbeing during these tough times by focussing on what you can control and let go of what you can’t. Try to take comfort in support from friends and family. Be grateful for the small everyday things in life.

Stay home if you are not well. Stay safe. Stay positive!
