City Council is set to meet tonight, and the hot topic on the agenda will be whether or not wearing a mask in indoor public places should be made mandatory.

At the last council meeting (JUNE 30) Timmins Mayor George Pirie, asked for a report on masks and that report would include input from the medical officer of health Dr. Lianne Catton (Porcupine Health Unit). That report is expected to be delivered tonight.

At the previous meeting, Pirie also asked Councillors to get the thoughts and opinions from the public, and one of the Councillors launched an online survey.
