The Timmins Rock, have brought back forward Cam Kosurko and have signed an 18 year-old five foot eleven D Man.

Cameron Kosurko:

Kosurko, had a good first season with the team. He put up 26 pts in 53 games played. Although those numbers don’t sound great, if you watched him play, you know those stats don’t tell the full story.

Kosurko, was off to a slow start and that’s normal… He was a 16 year-old coming into a new and very competitive league. Most of his points came in at the end of the season, and he was looking very comfortable in the one playoff game that was played against the Hearst Lumberjacks.

He was producing more offensively, and showed some of his defensive side to his game with his incredible back checking speed. The Rock will be happy to have the Sudbury Wolves prospect back, and the Wolves are going to want to take a big look at him. At the pace he was on at the end of last season’s campaign, Kosurko is on track to have a break out season.

NEW Signing, Bode Dunford:

Bode Dunford, is an 18 year-old defenceman and is going to be a big presence on the Rock blue line this season.

Dunford, played for the Central Ontario U18 Wolves (MIDGET AAA) out of Port Perry. Dunford played 36 games last season and put up 12 pts. One thing is for sure, Timmins Rock Head Coach Corey Beer, is looking forward to having him as an asset.

“Bode comes in as a well polished defenceman from the Central Ontario Wolves program much as the same way Josh Anderson was taught. We can’t wait to see Bode’s two way game, as well as his very tight defensive game. He’s a player that has the ability to play good shutdown minutes but, can also jump in the play and contribute offensively. As a former captain, we know he brings good IQ and leadership into a program that prides itself on having quality people in it. Bode is yet another one of those well rounded players that should be able to jump right in and contribute.”-Timmins Rock Head Coach Corey Beer.

Following these two announcements, Timmins Rock President Ted Gooch, said that two more player commitments are set to be announced, and one new signing is in the works and could be announced by Saturday July 18.
